Adult Workforce Education - GED

GED® preparation classes are available to assist and prepare students to pass the Official GED® Tests, earn a State of Florida High School Diploma and successfully transition to postsecondary education or for career advancement. Classes are available day and evening in Moore Haven or distance online learning. Students will accelerate at their own pace through an individualized learning plan encompassing teacher led instruction, group work and self-paced computer based learning focusing on the four content-areas, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, assessments required to earn the GED®.

How to Participate

To participate in GED® classes students must:

  • be 16 years or old
  • not be enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school
  • attend orientation and testing

Fees

  • $30 tuition fee
  • $15 testing fee
  • $5 ID badge fee
  • $5 parking fee

Distance Learning Classes
Offered for English, GED® and ABE students who may benefit from this self-paced course of study due to work, family or personal schedules.

Services are available for all Collier County residents. 

Students must:

  • have a laptop or desktop computer with reliable internet access
  • be able to complete a minimum of 10 hours a week of course work to participate
  • be 16 years or old
  • not be enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school
  • attend orientation and testing
  • pay $30 Tuition
